Essential 5 Personality

Essential 5
Personality

Great speakers look good and they have a compelling presence. (When you look good, you feel good)

You must be wondering what is looking good got to do with speaking your way to success. How will you be given the opportunity to speak if you’re looking like you’ve just got out of your bed? You’ve worn colors that flash a big no on your client, customers and or audience’s face; you’ve worn disco white shoes for a business review meeting; you’ve worn a bright sunflower yellow sleeve shirt. These colors and the way you look as a consequence will not give you the feeling of feeling good and that in turn translates into poor speaking ability with undesirable results.

It’s never about wearing new or the most expensive clothing to make you look good. But more about the care given to the way you look and it doesn’t take much to understand the appropriateness of looking good to translating it into speaking to succeed. You must have definitely paused across a thought where you’ve seen your idol or somebody you admire or consider your mentor (not always because they are always the nicest people) taking care to look good and their ability to translate that into speaking well.

Personality is all about how you look and how you are perceived by others. Not only along work; business, and or pleasure but for practically every occasion. When you feel good about the way you look it automatically gives you that edge and the feeling of being right and best in position to express yourself and represent not only yourself but your company and organization. Powerful and moving speakers also speak with their attire and that is what is (normally and generally spoken first, as you see someone before you hear him) spoken first and then what you verbally enunciate.

I’m not suggesting that you do something about the size of your nose. The good appearance that you associate with a charismatic speaker is something different and has inner and outer qualities. From the outside, dress your best, always in conservative, modest clothing. Take the time and spend the money necessary so that your hair is perfect and shoes are polished. From the inside, take the time to lessen any negative feelings you may have about the upcoming encounter, presentation, meeting, engagement etc. List some positive aspects and focus on those. Negative emotions show up in your facial expressions and can actually make you look unattractive.

In today’s world of looking good and people going out of their boundaries to get that desired state is not new. People are continuously in pursuit of always looking good. Men today have even taken to cosmetic make-over and various other forms of looking the image they ought to be and in some case want to be. There is absolutely no shame or illness in wanting to look good.

Watch your thoughts, for they become words, and your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits, and your habits, for they become character.
Watch them all for they become your personality.

Qualities you are likely to come across a speaker with great personality:

  • Charm
  • Charisma
  • Attractiveness
  • Dynamism
  • Magnetism
  • Pleasantness

Remember: The Raymond advertisement where looking good is being a complete man. Looking good is as good as feeling good and this translates into speaking to success.
