The 12 Essentials for speaking your way to SUCCESS
What is Speaking?
Speaking is communication with a purpose; it is defined by objectives and goals. It is an adjective which describes quality.
What is Talking?
Talking is communication without any specific purpose, defined objectives and goals. It is a verb which describes an activity.
Speakers speak with a purpose, they have an objective and they have a goal. You hear people talking all the time, from wasted conversations to unwelcome debates to nonsense arguments. Rarely do you find yourself speaking with that purpose you’ve set for yourself. Bring it out; let people know your purpose, objective and goal. Speak to succeed.
We all communicate, whether we speak or we talk. We constantly send a message. Does the message carry with it a purpose, objective and a goal?
Ask yourself these three key questions.
Does my communication have purpose?
Does my communication have an objective?
Does my communication have a goal?
If your answer to all three is yes, you are effectively speaking.
If your answer is yes to one or two, you are talking.
The following essentials that follow will help you to channel your power to become a great speaker to individuals, customers and public.
